Welcome to the Neighborhood Magazine has added a new special feature to its Web site – 3D mapping capabilities. With this new feature advertisers in the magazine are highlighted on a 3D map. The map is interactive and allows users to navigate three different viewing options for any advertiser’s location – road, aerial or hybrid view. The road view is a standard map, with each advertiser identified with a push pin. The aerial view is a virtual snap shot of the location and includes building structures, streets and traffic surrounding the site; and the hybrid option is a satellite image of the location, which illustrates the natural topography of the area.

The map also includes each advertiser’s address and telephone number. “This technology is really amazing and we are excited be to the only direct mail magazine currently offering this Web site feature in all of Ventura county,” said Ben Gilbert, publisher of the Welcome to the Neighborhood Magazine.” The Web site was created and is maintained by Siteserver, Inc. in Simi Valley.

Welcome to the Neighborhood Magazine has been in publication for four years and is currently distributed to 47,500 home s in the Simi Valley/Moorpark areas; and 37,671 homes in Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks. The magazine can also be found in select Ralphs and Albertson’s supermarkets and Blockbuster Video stores. “This new Web site feature is just our way of going the extra mile to ensure that our clients are getting the best value for their advertising dollars,” said Mr. Gilbert.

The magazine is a huge supporter of the community and Gilbert serves on the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; is Co-Chair of the Ambassadors for the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce; and was recently nominated to serve on the Executive Board of Directors for the Neighbor Council # 3 in Simi Valley.
