UNDERGROUND PRINTING PRESSES AHEAD WITH GROWTH

October 18, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Underground Printing, a custom apparel screenprinter, is relocating its production facility to accommodate the rapid growth the company has undergone since January 2007. Scheduled for early November, the move to a nearby 33,000 square foot facility will allow the company to continue to provide custom printed products to its five stores in Michigan, Illinois, and Wisconsin, four of which opened this year. Despite a sluggish state economy, the company has continued to expand, with plans to bring its custom t-shirt stores to new locations in Indiana and Ohio in 2008. Their expansion has created 60 new jobs this year to date.

Owners Ryan Gregg and Rishi Narayan are thrilled about making their second growth-based relocation in the last three years. “It’s the sort of production facility I could only dream about when we started five years ago,” said Narayan. The move will provide the company with the opportunity to add the equipment, technology, and production systems necessary to keep up with the demand from its current and future stores throughout the Midwest.
