(CARY, NC—October 17, 2007) — Jim Tobin of Ignite Social Media announced today that the firm will host the first Social Media Club of the Triangle meeting in Cary on November 14th. With 19 branches existing nationally and internationally, the Social Media Club will debut in North Carolina with the launch of the Triangle chapter next month.

“There’s a growing community of folks interested in social media and social media marketing in the Research Triangle area, and we’re excited to facilitate that conversation,” Tobin, president of Ignite Social Media said. “Bloggers, podcasters, social networking fans, vloggers, Twitterers, search engine marketers… Anyone interested should feel free to come by.”

The first meeting will be held in the main conference room at the Ignite Social Media offices at 14600 Weston Parkway, Suite 100, in Cary, North Carolina at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will be a roundtable on “Corporate Blogging Best Practices”, an open discussion of who should blog, how to interact in the blogsphere, benefits of blogging, how to get started, and the best practices to lead to a successful implementation and maximum benefit.

“This social media club is a chance not only for us to share our ideas with others, but to discuss the developments in social media as they apply to business in the Triangle,” said Tobin. “We’ll rotate locations and topics in future months, depending on what the group wants to talk about. For this meeting, please RSVP by calling us or by leaving a comment on www.ignitesocialmedia.com.”
