Cirelli Foods of Middleborough, MA announces personnel changes and additions to the Cirelli team.

DATELINE: MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA…Cirelli Foods of Middleborough, MA, New England's largest family owned broadline foodservice distributor, recently announced several personnel changes and additions to the Cirelli team.

Paul Morrissey, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cirelli Foods, congratulated longtime Cirelli employees on their promotions, “Over the years, these employees have continued to exemplify Cirelli Foods’ commitment to service, pride, and quality. Their promotions are indicative of the scope of their in depth experience in the food services industry and we are proud of their advancement. We would also like to welcome the new members of our team, who will help us solidify and expand the role of Cirelli Foods in the food services industry.”

Frank Battista has joined Cirelli as a Sales Consultant, where his duties will include opening new territories as well as securing the existing customer base. With 25 years in the food service industry as a territory manager and product development specialist, Battista has built a loyal base of operations in the North End of Boston and has received a number of sales achievement awards over the years for achieving sales and budget goals. A native of Arlington, MA, Battista currently resides in Woburn, MA where he is active in Little League baseball and Pop Warner football.

Catherine Loiacono was appointed General Accountant at Cirelli, where she will assist the Controller with Monthly Financials, perform General Ledger System analysis, and work to streamline Accounting Department procedures. A resident of South Easton, MA, Loiacono, received her MBA from Simmons College School of Management in Boston, MA, and was previously Controller at Aslanis Seafoods, Inc.

Amy Roussel, formerly a Marketing Assistant with Cirelli, has been named to the position of Human Resources Generalist. Roussel’s responsibilities include employee relations, payroll liaison, staff training and development, benefits coordinator, and employee events. Roussel, a graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I. with a B.A. in Business Administration, previously served as a Human Resources generalist at P&O Cold Logistics in Avon and Taunton, MA. A native of West Bridgewater, MA, Roussel currently resides in Carver, MA.

Kelly Taylor has been appointed Sales and Purchasing Assistant at Cirelli, where she will act as liaison between the Sales and Purchasing departments. A long-term employee of Cirelli Foods, Taylor, who started her career at Cirelli as a receptionist, has expanded her knowledge of the business and served in a number of departments including sales & marketing, customer service and purchasing. Taylor currently resides in Taunton, MA.

Cathy Russo was recently appointed Multi-Unit Group Manager (MUG) at Cirelli Foods.
Russo previously served as Sales Support for 8 years within the Multi-Unit Group. Russo, who has over 30 years of experience in both retail management and wholesale production in the food service industry has also owned and operated several successful businesses in the New England region. Russo currently resides in Jamestown, RI.

From Humble Beginnings
