XDS Strengthens Sales Leadership with Appointments of Two Key Industry Veterans to Enterprise and Government Markets

PRLEAP.COM) Durham, NC (October 16, 2007) – XDS, Inc., a privately held company targeting the digital virtualization market, today announced it has strengthened its Enterprise and Government Group with the appointments of Ray DiRussa as Vice President (VP) of Enterprise Solutions and Christopher Mellon as VP of Government Solutions. In his role as XDS’s VP of Enterprise Solutions, Ray is responsible for driving the company’s business strategy for the enterprise market. Prior to XDS, Ray was SVP of Enterprise Desktop Technologies for Bank of America where he was responsible for more than 250,000 desktops. He was also involved in the bank’s IT architecture, engineering, and governance initiatives, as well as supported desktop and trading environments.
Prior to Bank of America, Ray served in a variety of technology and management roles at Global Corporate Investment Bank (GCIB) – a division of Bank of America, as well as PaineWebber and Dean Witter (now Morgan Stanley). Ray has also served on the technology boards of several industry vendors including IBM/Lenovo, HP and Dell.
As VP of Government Solutions for XDS, Chris is responsible for driving the company’s business strategy in the government market. Prior to joining XDS, Chris was President of Mellon Strategic Consulting, LLC, where he represented a number of high-tech start-up firms before Congress and worked with a wide variety of federal agencies and departments.
Prior to launching his own consulting firm, he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. In addition, Chris was Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Security and Information Operations. Before joining the Department of Defense, Chris served for 12 years in a variety of positions on Capitol Hill including nearly 10 years as a professional staff member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
