Gatlin Learning and Swainsboro Technical College announce eLearning Center Web site

Swainsboro Technical College, under the new leadership of recently appointed president, Larry Calhoun, has renewed its commitment and effort to promote “Economic Development & Continuing Education.” These efforts include a recent partnership with Gatlin Learning, Inc. to host a Web site for The eLearning Center, a comprehensive resource of online continuing and business education courses. Swainsboro’s portal is available at http://swainsboro.theelearningcenter.com.

With The eLearning Center, colleges and universities create unique, co-branded sites from they can offer courses from leading online content providers for direct sale to students and corporate training customers. Each portal is customizable and generates revenue for Swainsboro, while Gatlin handles all the site’s administrative needs at no cost.

The eLearning Center recently released Phase II, a package of upgrades that included increasing the course offerings to more than 5,000.

“Swainsboro students have access to the Internet’s largest collection of leading educational courses,” said Stephen Gatlin, founder of Fort Worth-based Gatlin Education Services and The eLearning Center. “The eLearning Center is a one-stop shopping solution where students can advance their educational or career needs.”

The eLearning Center contains courses from many of the country’s top online education content providers such as Element K, Webucator, GlobalEnglish, 360 Training, CEU4U and Coastal Training Technologies. Pricing for the courses range from $25 to $5,000 depending on the lesson intensity, certification offering and instructor support involved.

The self-study courses are available in a broad range of subject areas, including business, medical training, continuing education courses, design, IT, motivation and many others. New categories continue to be added as well. In addition to English, select courses are offered in Spanish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Chinese, Taiwanese and Arabic.
