Philox.eu launches team assignment tool for students

(PRLEAP.COM) Philox has released a new tool that enables students to manage their team assignments. The tool centralizes and stores all team communication, manages team files and schedules important dates.

Communicating via email when working on team assignments often leads to problems. Information gets lost in the chain of forwarding and replies, team members are working with different documents and not every team members is up-to-date on what has been discussed.

www.philox.eu, a community website for European students, wants to professionalize the way students manage their team assignment. They have developed groupware that matches the specific needs of students. The team assignment tool is free for registered members.

The team assignment tool consists of 3 parts. First is the ‘important dates box’ in which team members can schedule their meetings and deadlines. Second is the ‘discussion board’. This is a forum with two standard threads, the ‘divide the tasks within the group’ thread, and the ‘discuss the assignment’ thread. Third is the ‘team files’ feature in which all team members upload their documentation and finished work.

All the features within the team assignment tool work with alerts. Every time a team members has added or changed something within the team assignment tool, all team members receive an alert. The ‘important dates box’ works with customizable alerts
