Awry to play WNTI benefit concert at Stanhope House

PRLEAP.COM) Stanhope, New Jersey—November 11th, 2007 - Awry - New Jersey band Awry will be performing at the Stanhope House, in Stanhope, New Jersey, on Sunday, November 11th, in a concert to benefit public radio station WNTI 91.9 FM, . Also performing will be the Juggling Suns and the Quimby Mountain Band.
“We’re very happy to help out WNTI,” said Seth Fleishman, guitarist and vocalist with Awry. “This is a great radio station playing the best music around.”
The Stanhope House is a legendary New Jersey music venue, having hosted blues legends Muddy Waters, James Cotton and Stevie Ray Vaughn, as well as roots rock luminaries Marshall Crenshaw and Steve Forbert. This will be the third time Awry has played the prestigious venue, and they couldn’t be happier about it.
“The Stanhope House is one of our favorite places to play,” said singer Melissa Murray. “The sound is always superb, and the people are there to hear the music. We’re very happy to be back again.”
WNTI is operated by Centenary College and first went on the air December 8, 1958. This member supported public radio station provides non-commercial FM broadcast service for northern New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania, with a coverage area encompassing an estimated population of over 1 million; WNTI supports the arts and cultural richness of the region as well as Centenary College’s role of community service and outreach.
Tickets are $15. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
