The Vinyl Institute Welcomes Richard Ali as Director, Industry Affairs

(PRLEAP.COM) The Vinyl Institute announced today that Richard Ali has been appointed director of industry affairs with responsibility for programs related to vinyl building products, retail and packaging, and other applications.

Mr. Ali most recently served as director of government affairs and affiliate relations with the Irrigation Association, where he developed policy initiatives, served as a spokesperson on legislative and regulatory issues, and provided liaison to local affiliates, among other duties.

He has also worked with the Home Safety Council, National Spa and Pool Institute, National Association of the Remodeling Industry and Associated Builders and Contractors.

VI President Tim Burns announced the hiring, saying, “Richard Ali brings broad experience in association management and in working with various stakeholder groups. He also has a jump start in knowledge about vinyl from his work in building, remodeling, irrigation, and pools and spas. We are eager to have him on our team.”

Mr. Ali is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University.
