Exemplary data security:Personal Health Record LifeSensor again ips certified

(PRLEAP.COM) Walldorf, October 24, 2007 - The personal health record LifeSensor has received the data security certificate ips (internet privacy standards) for the third time. The data security experts of Datenschutz cert have confirmed once again that the trust customers place in InterComponentWare AG (ICW) and its concept of the web based personal health record LifeSensor is justified.

LifeSensor customers can file copies of their personal health data in the personal health record in a clearly organized manner and provide these to their physicians, pharmacists, or fitness consultants, for instance. The decision of who has access to which information always rests with the LifeSensor customer.

Before awarding ips certification, the data protection agency Datenschutz cert did not only test the personal health record itself, but also the record’s interface with medical primary systems. Thanks to even better safety standards, the results of LifeSensor’s ips certification were even better than two years ago. The personal health record also complies with all new requirements of the TMG (German law governing information and communication services) that was updated at the beginning of 2007.
