OCTOBER 19, 2007, Pittsburgh, PA - Festivities of fall and Halloween run rampant throughout October and there is no lack of holiday cheer - or holiday scare - at the Delray Beach Public Library. Charles Pero, mystery thriller author from Lake Worth, FL, will give a talk on "The Killer Mind: An Author’s Perspective," Saturday October 27th from 2-4pm at the library.

Mr. Pero, who writes novels about serial killers, will delve into the "killer mind" and give tips specifically targeted to women to help them protect themselves from falling victim to serial predators and other assailants.

"Charles is participating in the season by creating awareness about serial killers and helping people understand how dangerous these people truly are," says Jon Handel of SterlingHouse Publisher, Inc. "In a way, Charles is doing community service by being an advocate for personal safety by giving tips to help people protect themselves."

Pero, who has been heralded as "The Master of Murder," has written four books in his Twisted Killer Series and has his own imprint, Pero Thrillers. His first book, The Maze Murderer, is a national release. Copies will be available for purchase and for an autograph by Mr. Pero at the library during his visit - a Halloween enthusiast’s delight.

Some other Pero successes include: the selling of the movies rights to The Maze Murderer; foreign language rights being negotiated in seven countries; being featured on the front cover of Publishers Weekly; being featured at Book Expo America, the literary worlds leading tradeshow.
