June 29, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
The 1420 Sq. ft clean room is built to class 10000 specifications, with class 100 laminar airflow benches as work area for assembling the high purity products for semiconductor and medical applications.

Before going to assembly, the parts are cleaned at ultrasonic component wash station in the clean room. After assembly the products are tested for their performance before clean room packing using a vacuum sealer.

To maintain the cleanliness of the room, SMC measures the air particles on a daily basis by use of particle counter located at various points in the room, including inside work bench, front of ducts, at air shower door, along the walls and center of the room. Air exchange is accomplished by use of HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter.

This clean room enables SMC, for local kitting of high purity fittings, valves and valve manifolds for quick delivery to the demanding customers of semiconductor and medical industry. For customized high purity manifold solutions, please contact one of the 24 SMC branches closer to you.
