Liberal Group, Knights Of Enlightenment, To Step Up Efforts In Response Christian Right's Extremism

(PRLEAP.COM) With the results of the recent election, it has become apparent to many influential people on the right and left that our nation is heading in a wrong direction. Since November 2nd, the Christian Right has been stepping up its efforts to subvert civil liberties and freedom with their lust for social control and religious extremism. As a group that believes in freedom, liberty and personal choice, the Knights Of Enlightenment will stand strong with others in this fight for justice against their religious tyranny.

The recent attacks perpetrated on moderate Republicans by Christian extremists shows their disdain for democracy, fairness and equality. This is where we, as a group, draw the line. As we have always believed, a secular government needs to be maintained to be successful in representing all citizens equally. What we are now witnessing in our government runs counter to this ideal and we can no longer stand by. It is time for us to act to prevent the downfall of OUR nation.

In response to the zealots of the Christian Right, The Knights of Enlightenment will be stepping up its efforts by recruiting members, activating our membership and keeping them informed. Furthermore, in effort to provide more information to our members, we will be sending action alerts and articles regularly from our group and groups like us that share our ideals.

It is of great importance that Knights Of Enlightenment get involved in this process. America is at a crossroads. One path leads to our success as an enlightened nation and the other path will take us centuries back to the dark ages where bigotry, zealotry, superstition and inequality rules. We respect all religions, but what the Christian Right and their allies are attempting to do is a violation of our constitution and a direct assault on our freedom and liberty.
