Pinnacle Consultants Management Services and Haverford Anesthesia Associates Agree to Join Forces in Providing Quality Anesthesia Services
(PRLEAP.COM) Wednesday, March 12, 2008 - Haverford Anesthesia Associates (HAA) and Pinnacle Consultants Management Services (PCMS) have agreed to merge and to jointly operate an anesthesia management and services company. This company will provide anesthesia services in the Mid-Atlantic states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, and Maryland. HAA currently provides anesthesia services at 23 hospitals, Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC’s), and Advanced Pain Management Centers in the Mid-Atlantic area.
PCMS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pinnacle Partners In Medicine (Pinnacle), together with Pinnacle, provides anesthesia and advanced pain management services at over 100 hospitals and heath care facilities in the Southwest.
By the time of the merger, Pinnacle and Pinnacle-affiliated companies’ 700 physicians, CRNA’s, and affiliated health care providers will provide high quality services at over 130 locations.
Founders and co-presidents of HAA, Dr. William Isaacson and Dr. Bill Goldstein, will manage the clinical operations of the merged company (Pinnacle Mid-Atlantic (PMA)) and will join an experienced clinical team of anesthesia management physicians and CRNA’s under the leadership of Dr. Michael Hicks, M.B.A. (Chief Medical Officer and Chairman of the Board).
Mr. John Adessa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PCMS, made the announcement today, the second merger announced by PCMS over the last 2 months. Mr. Adessa indicated that additional transactions will be announced shortly as Pinnacle continues to expand its service offerings to a wider spectrum of patients and geographic areas of the country.
