2005 Christian Prophetic Poetry Writer's Retreat
(PRLEAP.COM) Voices of Christ Literary Ministries International (VOC) will host the 2005 Christian Prophetic Poetry Writer’s Retreat: Blow the Trumpet in Zion September 23-24, 2005 in Stockbridge, Georgia. Registration is $50 per person for entire retreat!Poets, spoken word artists, and creative writers nationwide will gather for this intimate, unique retreat that focuses exclusively on cultivating the writer through the word of God. It is designed specifically for those interested in understanding the purpose of their gift; evangelizing through poetry, prose and spoken word; building successful Christian poetry ministries in their communities or church, and getting their work published.
Retreat sessions will cover some of the following topics: The Purpose of The Gift; Tapping into the Scribal Anointing, Writing the Creative Word of the Lord; Understanding the Prophetic Gifts of Poetry & Spoken Word; Your Call to Poetic Ministry; Identifying Your Assignment in Poetic Ministry; Spiritually Critiquing Poetry & Spoken Word; Developing a God-Focused Poetic Ministry in Your Community or Church; Poetic Entrepreneurship, and more.
Sessions will include audience participation, ministry activations and exercises, group activities, and personal ministry. In addition, there will be evening open mike events; opportunities for your work to be reviewed by poetic ministry professionals; and a special workshop on publishing (electronic and print) led by leaders in the industry.
The conference will be held at Stockbridge Days Inn & Suites, 7385 Hanover Parkway North, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, 770.507.4440. Retreat Registration is $50 per person for the entire retreat. Hotel rates are $75 per night, plus tax and must be booked separately.
