ETM150 – ARM Based Prototyping Board from Embin Technologies

(PRLEAP.COM) Embin Technologies has launched their latest prototyping board ETM150. Embin’s ETM150 with LPC22xx series establishes a new price/performance ratio for the 32-bit ARM7 segment, offering the most cost-effective microcontrollers at twice the speed and up to four times the performance of existing 32-bit ARM microcontrollers. This will accelerate the task of designers to run application software on target 32bit board hardware i.e. ETM150, thus providing a platform to benchmark their system, save time & expense of building their own application test board and thus enabling them to get their designs to market quickly.

Keeping in mind the requirement of prototyping boards and development kits, which can accelerate the task of designers to run application software on target ARM7TDMI hardware and perform various applications on board, Embin launches ETM150. ETM150 is a general-purpose ARM based prototyping board and can perform various applications based on ARM7TDMI.

At the heart of the board is Philips LPC2294; this provides advance features like In-System/In-Application Programming (ISP/IAP) via on-chip boot-loader software. The micro controller has 256KB flash memory and 16KB on-chip static RAM. The board comes with two RS-232 interface (UART 0/1) to allow user to program the micro controller directly from PC. ETM150 is a unique hardware and software combination providing 8 channel 10-bit A/D converters with a total of up to 8 analog inputs, low power RTC, 60 MHz maximum CPU clock available from programmable on-chip PLL with settling time of 100 microseconds. This board is also having the facility of PWM output – 6 channels, SPI interface, CAN module interface, I2C and JTAG ports.

ETM150 is quite advanced w.r.t. previous evaluation kits coming from Embin’s product stable. The Sample C code provided with the ETM150 board is self explanatory with comments that help you understand the applications related to LED array, LCD, Real time clock, ADC, Matrix keyboard, FreeRTOS port, etc programs.

With ETM150 Embin has added one more product to its existing range of development kits and has taken the first step towards 32-bit / ARM processors based development boards. This development kits and modules will be useful to all the engineering students and R & D engineers, embedded systems developers etc.
