Surreal World: The Art of the Paranormal
(PRLEAP.COM) ThothWeb is a site dedicated to the exploration of all aspects of the paranormal and the unexplained, ranging from ufos to unsolved mysteries, strange phenomena, occult knowledge and a whole range of interesting anomalies.This week ThothWeb launches an ambitious project to promote the paranormal in an exciting new way; through the world of art.
"Surreal World: The Art of the Paranormal" is a project that is designed to give a voice to everyone who enjoys creating artwork of their own, whether they use paint, photography, computer generated graphic art or something else entirely.
To mark the launch of the project, ThothWeb has organised an art contest which will run for two weeks commencing on Friday, June 30th, 2006 and ending at midnight (GMT), on Thursday July 13th.
Entries are invited from any members of the online community who would like to submit art for any of the following six categories:
Aliens and UFOs
Occult and Esoterica
Ghosts and Spirits
Mysterious Creatures
Fantastic Worlds and Dreamscapes
Metaphysics and Spirituality
The winner and second placed from each category, will be featured in ThothWeb’s very own paranormal desk top calendar, which will be distributed for free from December onwards. This is everyone’s chance to have their artwork seen and appreciated by the whole paranormal community.
