Registration Begins For Gait Society Annual Symposium

(PRLEAP.COM) NORTH FT MYERS, FLORIDA, MARCH 16, 2007: The Gait Society, an interdisciplinary medical association made up of Podiatrists, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Certified Pedorthists, Athletic Trainers and other related healthcare professionals, will hold its annual educational Symposium May 18 and 19th at the Reunion Center Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas. Attendees to the 2007 Symposium can receive continuing education credits for their related specialty.

The program will consist of three tracks for attendees, with each concentrating on the role each practitioner plays in addressing the specific pathology. This year’s topics are the Charcot foot, Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction, (PTTD), and the Charcot Marie Tooth pathology. A panel of experts will discuss the various stages of each of these problems along with the conservative treatment modalities. In the breakout sessions the attendees will hear more on each treatment modality, including the SCFO bracing, AFO bracing, custom foot Orthotics, over the counter inserts and shoes, custom shoes, scanning devices for both assessment and diagnostics, and specialty materials used for management of pathologies.
