Returning Military Personnel sought for project to alleviate symptoms of PTSD
(PRLEAP.COM) Brain State Technologies announced today to provide free brain state conditioning training for returning military personnel who experience symptoms of PTSD. Symptoms may include: difficulty sleeping, difficulty controlling emotions including irritability and anger, anxiety, hypervigilence and intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and/or nightmares, depression, difficulty maintaining concentration and desire to self medicate with alcohol or other substances in an attempt to return to normalcy.
Project participants will receive a free assessment and up to sixteen free training sessions through August 31, 2007 at Brain State Technologies or any of our affiliates worldwide.
Brain State Conditioning™ is scientific training based on neurofeedback science that reads waves of energy within the brain and then trains individuals to change neuro-pathways that no longer serve them. For example, while it is physiologically appropriate for a combat soldier to respond to the sound of gunfire with a sudden and dramatic increase in heart rate, tensed muscles and racing thoughts as they assess the threat, it is unnecessary for the solider once returned to civilian life to respond exactly the same way when hearing a door slam or a car backfire in a neighbor’s driveway. The brain sometimes gets triggered from stimuli that are similar but not exactly the same, especially if an individual has been exposed to stressful or traumatic stimuli for a prolonged period of time. Neuro-pathways that have become automated can be changed with Brain State Conditioning™, resulting in relief, relaxation and completely normal functioning for the individual. Brain State Conditioning™ training does not involve talk therapy and requires no self disclosure of the traumatic events experienced. Brain State Conditioning™ has successfully helped thousands of people suffering with PTSD, depression and other concerns.
Interested participants must have returned from either Afghanistan or Iraq during the past 24 months, and have served in combat or in a rear echelon support unit. Participation in the demonstration project is free and is on a first come, first serve basis. Please call Brain State Technologies™ at 480-588-6840 to participate and visit
