Squidoo Launches Collaborative Video Contest for Mashup Squidoo Commercial
(PRLEAP.COM) Irvington, NY – Squidoo is asking for user contributions to a collaborative Squidoo commercial. Squidoo lensmasters are invited to submit video clips featuring themselves and their favorite lens. The best clips will be compiled into a mashup Squidmercial video that will be featured on Squidoo.
The Squidmercial is Squidoo’s first user-generated video project. Its aim is two-fold:
1. Empower lensmasters with non-traditional ways to promote their passion.
2. Inspire new Squidoo users by showcasing our community of everyday enthusiasts
Squidoo’s business model is grounded in user-led organic growth. Squidoo’s lensmasters have shaped the platform’s content, personality, and with 700+ lenses being created daily, they are directing Squidoo’s future. User-generated videos are the natural next step.
