Beijing 2008: On the Scene with the IOC Coordination Commission

The IOC Coordination Commission is making its ninth inspection of preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Around the Rings will be on the scene for the entire three-day meeting as the commission examines organizers' progress and reviews test event results.

Around the Rings continues its tradition of on-the-scene reporting from major events on the Olympic calendar. ATR Editor Ed Hula will provide daily coverage October 23 to October 25.

"This is a crucial visit because it's just about the last chance to make sure everything is on schedule before the Beijing 2008 Games begin next August," Hula says. The commission's last visit is scheduled for January 2008.
