Andy Hunt, Vice President EMEA Channels at VMware said, “We continue to be impressed with ACR and their commitment to VMware and the virtualization market as a whole. They have built an excellent service delivery practice around VMware Infrastructure and we expect our relationship with ACR to grow and expand in 2008.”

Director of ACR, Steve Freeman said, “We are absolutely delighted to have received this award from VMware, one of the leading providers of virtualization technologies. It is very rewarding to be recognised by your partners in industry and it is testament to the huge commitment and service excellence that our team provides all of our customers. There were over 10,000 IT professionals, technology providers and industry experts at the VMworld conference and close to 2,000 VMware business partners all vying for recognition. To win the award for the whole of the EMEA region is a fantastic achievement and a particular accolade as we are the only British company to have done so.”

ACR provide real benefits for their customers; helping them to achieve more for less, improving efficiency through consolidation, and creating effective solutions for disaster recovery and business continuity. Steve continues, “Virtualization technology is rapidly transforming the IT industry and helping organisations change the way they do business. Virtualization makes absolute business sense; it can help organisations cut costs, become more efficient as well as considerably reducing their carbon footprint. IT has come under pressure in recent years for its contributory factor towards CO2 emissions yet advances in technology can now considerably reduce their carbon footprint commitments. A virtual server or storage environment can often reduce a company’s hardware by 50%, resulting in reduction in power consumption and lessens the impact on the environment – not to mention the resulting cost reductions.”
