PHOENIX - November 1, 2007 - The Fans Across America® Charitable Foundation and Phoenix RoadRunners have teamed up to send seriously ill children and their families to the Saturday, November 10, 2007 game against the Las Vegas Wranglers. The RoadRunners' donation of 500 tickets to Fans Across America will be distributed to these families working with Phoenix Children's Hospital, Banner Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona, Ryan House and Arizona Pediatric Cardiology Consultants.

"Our patients and their families have a tremendous amount of stress that they deal with on a daily basis," said Sharon Pfeiffer, nurse practitioner for Arizona Pediatric Cardiology Consultants. "Opportunities like this to go out to a sporting event as a family and forget about the illness for a few hours can be a welcome break and help the family focus on each other rather than the illness."

The Fans Across America Charitable Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization that was created to help families with seriously ill children better face the financial burden that comes with a life-threatening diagnosis so that they can focus on what really matters…their child.

Fans Across America raises funds to help affected families by offering an annual membership that provides valuable discounts at professional and collegiate sporting events, golf courses, retail outlets, restaurants, entertainment venues, services and travel destinations. Foundation discount partners include: the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix RoadRunners, Arizona Rattlers, ASU, Arizona Science Center, F1 Race Factory, Grand Canyon Railway and SportClips; and the list is growing.

"The Phoenix RoadRunners are excited to partner with the Fans Across America Charitable Foundation and help families with seriously ill children," said RoadRunners President Ben Webber. "We are helping with this cause by providing discounts on game tickets for Fans Across America members and through our donation of tickets for distribution to these families in need."

"Fans Across America is about building a community of sports fans, families, athletes, celebrities, business, like-minded charities and all those associated with professional and collegiate sports to deliver hope, opportunity and support to families with seriously ill children," said Founder Bruce Petillo. "By simply becoming part of the Fans Across America community, all of us collectively can help make a difference in these families' lives, and that is the true value of this Foundation."
