TCR, Inc. announces Kym Henderson Vice President of Enterprise Technology

In his role, Mr. Henderson will direct worldwide business development activities of TCR’s Enterprise Technology division and will be a key contributor to the company’s international software and cross-sector growth strategies.

Mr. Henderson is the current Vice-President Elect of Research & Standards for the Project Management Institute (PMI) College of Performance Management (CPM). Mr. Henderson has extensive project and program directorship experience in the Information Technology space for both corporate and government entities. Prior to TCR, Henderson was the Project Management Principal in the Project Management Services division of Oakton Ltd, an Australian-based consulting firm, where Mr. Henderson was responsible for providing extensive project reviews and evaluations, in addition to “project recovery” services, to large and/or complex project environments within the corporate and government sectors.

In conjunction with his extensive professional experience, which includes management positions with globally recognized IT corporations such as IBM, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Unisys and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Mr. Henderson is an accomplished and recognized teacher, author and researcher of advanced project management principles. Kym teaches “Applying Earned Value Concepts to Commercial IT Projects” for the PMI SeminarsWorld program (2005-2007) and is also an experienced PMI Component Leader as the immediate past Education Director (2003-2007) of the PMI Sydney chapter where he implemented a highly regarded chapter education program. Mr. Henderson has presented at many international conferences and published papers in various publications including the PMI Measurable News, Crosstalk – The Journal of Defense Software Engineering, and as part of the proceedings of the PMI Global Congresses. His research and standards interest lie in transitioning advanced project management concepts to practical application. Mr. Henderson believes advancing these practices adds value to the Earned Value Management and Project Management community. Mr. Henderson has won numerous awards ranging from an Outstanding Performance Award from Unisys to an Army Commendation Medal from the United States Army.

Mr. Henderson is a graduate of the University of Technology (Sydney NSW Australia) where he received a Masters of Applied Science (Computing) degree in addition to a Bachelor of Business (Computing) degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from the Kuring-Gai College of Advanced Education, Linfield NSW Australia.
