New Remote Control Option From Orbit Radiant Heating Enables Easy Operation From Inside the Home or Building

November 10, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
PERKASIE, Pa., November 2007 — Orbit Radiant Heating, a leading provider of high-quality electric radiant heating solutions for residential and commercial applications, has upgraded its entire line of snow and ice melting systems featuring Nexans electric heating cables to include an optional remote control panel that enables users to operate the systemís controls from inside the home or building.

About the same size as a standard light switch, the new remote control integrates into any home or business environment, while providing exceptionally increased ease-of-use, since users no longer need to brave the elements to turn on the snow melting system. The remote controls a 90-minute timer and displays the systemís operating status.

The new control connects directly to the exterior moisture and temperature sensor, which communicates with the systemís control panel. This keeps any additional costs of installation to a minimum, since installers need only run one additional wire from the sensor to the control panel.

Nexans cables are the thickest, most rugged cables available in the heating industry, up to 3 times thicker than competitive systems, providing the most reliable electric heating system available. Exterior applications include ground surface snow/ice melting under concrete, brick, pavers or asphalt. For interior use, the cable is ideal for wet bed or slab installations and used with any type of flooring material including tile, hardwood, laminates and carpet. Nexans cable sets for interior applications are designed with a patented hidden welded splice feature, with splice points clearly marked to simplify installation and ensure safe operation in any type of application.

For interior floor warming, Nexans cable provides ready-to-install sets ranging from 300 W to 3,100 W to accommodate installation areas from 20 sq ft to 310 sq ft. Customized cable lengths are also available for larger indoor and outdoor applications. The cable is available for 120 V through 480 V applications.

Cable pricing is dependant upon square footage of application. Contact Orbit for specific information. Delivery is 1-3 days ARO.
