Cheung Kong GSB Celebrates 5th Anniversary, Honoring Graduates and New Intakes

Beijing ¡ª The Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business celebrated its 5th anniversary in October 2007 with a grand ceremony in the Shangri La Hotel Beijing on Oct. 24 that will include graduation and new student inductions.

Cheung Kong GSB alumni, faculty, students and leaders from government and business gathered under the theme "Cheung Kong Ideals", an occasion to acknowledge the Schools many accomplishments and its future vision.

Established in Beijing in 2002 by Asia's most successful entrepreneur Mr. Li Ka-shing as China's first private, non-profit business school, Cheung Kong GSB has assembled China's most elite faculty and built China's most influential alumni network in just 5 short years.

Cheung Kong GSB has established strong partnerships with business schools across the globe including leading schools such as Columbia, INSEAD, and Wharton. The School also leads out incorporating the humanities directly into the business school curriculum, and in pioneering programs such as the China-Korea CEO Dialogue, and the China-India CEO Program.

The October 24 combined ceremony welcomed the Cheung Kong GSB newly-admitted 11th intake of 260 Executive MBA students, as well as honored the graduation of nearly 170 Executive MBA students and over 50 MBA students.

Over the past 5 years, Cheung Kong GSB has graduated over 200 MBA students, 1,600 Executive MBAs, and hosted more than 10,000 executives in various Executive Development Programs. The Cheung Kong GSB Alumni Network consists of more than 10,000 members in over 20 chapters worldwide.
