Tafariwill’s Fine Arts launched its new website that highlights the work of Contemporary Artist Boswell Williams. Williams is a self taught Artist whose work brings an array of vivid hues and storytelling images to the world of art. His body of work provides an interesting portrayal of the true emotions of his subjects. Williams achieves this through the distinct way he captures facial & body expressions in his work. His art reflects the struggle, the love and the pride of people in our everyday society. His love for art and his talent first began to emerge at the early age of three when he showed a great interest in drawing, by the time he was ten he had already completed his first portrait. Growing up on the island of Jamaica, he was exposed to a vast amount of art and culture. It was there that he learned the art of carving, pottery and string craft. “Some of my early influences came from Artist such as Edna Manley (wife of the late Prime Minister Norman Manley) and other local Jamaican Artist.” says Williams He soon after developed a fascination for capturing the human body when former grade school Teachers would ask him to draw images of the physical body that consisted of the internal organs, skeletal and muscular systems. “I started drawing the human body in all forms and positions, It was then I realized how much of an interest I had in doing so.” says Williams
He went on to further develop his techniques at The Cultural Arts Center in Syosset, NY. He later met Darleen McCaskill the mother of his Fiancé (Nikiya McCaskill) in April 2005, who helped Williams in making the decision to open his own Fine Arts business by the name of Tafariwill’s Fine Art.

Darleen McCaskill influence encouraged him to share his work with others on a grander scale. This became the beginnings of “Expressions of the Art & Soul”. Williams has been recognized for his achievements with awards from the Gibbs Student Festival and also received the honorable President’s Award For Educational Excellence" from Bill Clinton in 1997.

“My mission is to provide a new perspective of African American Art without artistic bias to the art lovers of the world.” says Williams. He hopes to become globally known as an influential artist of his generation and those to come. One of his future goals is to be recognized by Fine Art Collector’s across the world who appreciates inspirational art.
