Nophest Music Festival aims to promote music, art and miscellanea in the true spirit of DIY

Nophest is the little giant of Atlanta music festivals! 3 days of music, art and other such nonsense with 50 bands, artists & performers, Indoor/outdoor stages, coffee, food, b.y.o.b & left-field merriment. This is the second year of the festival!

Atlanta, GA – Nophi Recordings presents Nophest on the weekend of Friday, December 7, 2007 thru Sunday, December 9 at Park Grounds, a premier dog park and coffee shop located in the heart of Reynoldstown. The show begins at sundown on Friday and runs from 11:00am to 11:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Over thirty (30) bands fill the weekend with a wide variety of quality music from across the southeast, including The Nerd Parade, Swank Sinatra, Random Rabbit, Xenlab, Cinetrope, Wednesday If Not Before, and many more.

The festival will be held at Park Grounds, located at 142 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316 in Historic Reynoldstown, near the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA Station. During the day, live DJs perform as arts and crafts are showcased outside. When night falls, independent films will be showcased on a theatre-sized movie screen while the music continues indoors. Independent music and film are the stars of Nophest, and indie rock & electronics are equally represented throughout the festival.

Nophi Records are an independent "boutique" record label based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since our turbulent birth at the turn of the century, we have strived to bring forth excellence through music. Nophi is currently owned and operated by Randy Garcia (r_garcia) and Matt Simpson (Maui Threv), a pair of life-long musical nerds who seem to have been rather insidiously separated at birth.
