EMG Receives Double IMA Awards Recognition

Earthbound Media Group (EMG) was recently presented with two Outstanding Achievement awards at the 2007 Interactive Media Awards (IMAs). The second highest honor that the IMAs bestow, the Outstanding Achievement distinction was awarded to both the University of Southern California (USC) Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy website and the University of La Verne (ULV) Admissions video-based virtual tour.
Judged by a panel of industry experts, the USC site scored an impressive 465 out of a possible 500 while the ULV virtual tour scored 477 out of 500. Both entered in the highly competitive “University” category, each project was evaluated on design, content, functionality, usability and standards compliance as well as cross-browser compatibility. The rigorous judging system makes the honor even more impressive and speaks to the tremendous quality of EMG’s work.
“I’m very proud the work we’ve done for USC and ULV is being recognized,” said EMG Principal and Executive Producer Dr. Blaine Behringer. “In the case of USC, we’ve worked with the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy for the past seven years on various marketing endeavors. It’s satisfying that we continue to deliver award-winning interactive products and sustain our commitment to excellence.”
Although the USC site and the ULV virtual tour are distinctly different projects, they both accomplish similar goals. By incorporating best practices in usability, creative and content development and interactive design, they have helped elevate the profile of each institution. Additionally, they’ve helped identify EMG as a leader in interactive marketing.
