(Los Angeles) — Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) has announced that the critically acclaimed motion picture, "Chariot’s of Fire,” will broadcast on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 22 at 9pm EST / 11pm PST. TBN will air the award-winning film with no commercial interruptions.

"Chariots of Fire” relates in flashback to the true story of two young British sprinters competing for fame in the 1924 Olympics.

Eric, a devout Scottish missionary, runs because he knows it will please God. Harold, the son of a wealthy Jew, runs to prove his place in Cambridge society.

In a warm-up 100-meter race, Eric defeats Harold. Harold has hired a professional trainer to prepare him for the race.

Eric, whose qualifying heat is set for a Sunday, refuses to run due to his Christian convictions that that particular day is the Lord’s Day — a holy day. Naturally the Olympic committee exerts all kinds of pressure on him to change his mind.

A compromise is reached when a nobleman allows Eric to compete in his 400-meter slot.

With that, Eric and Harold both win their respective races and go on to achieve fame respectively as missionary and businessman/athlete advocate.
