Graphic Novel Depot can help make the season bright for comic fans of any age, according to site owner Mike Gagnon. Gagnon feels that there are many parents out there with kids interested in graphic novels and manga, but are unsure what to buy, and what material is age appropriate.

“Gearing up for Christmas we have a new Christmas section, and as always there’s a young reader’s section of parent approved books.” says owner Mike Gagnon. “It’s not too late to shop now and have your order arrive in time for the holidays.”

In addition to kid friendly material, the site specializes in graphic novels and collectibles for all age groups.

The site was originally created as a place where hobbyists could buy collectibles at lower than retail prices regardless of geographic location. This was especially important to Gagnon, being a resident of rural Canada himself. Much of the site’s early promotion was geared towards people who live in rural communities without a hobby shop, or people who are too busy to visit their local hobby shop.

“It’s important because we are allowing collectors to not only save money, but also time.” Gagnon explains. “Readers can browse our site when it’s convenient for them, 24 hours a day.”

In less than a year the business has grown from a small blog site to a full-sized online retailer with an enormous inventory sure to please any comic fan. Gagnon feels that it is superior service and selection that has turned many skeptics into repeat customers.

Like many online retailers, the site can offer convenient home shopping to buyers worldwide, but what makes the business unique is that the inventory is fully powered by Amazon.com, the world’s largest online bookseller.

“Items are always discounted as much as possible whenever possible.” says Gagnon. “All transactions are processed by Amazon, so you get the same high level security, privacy and speed that you would expect from them.”

In December Gagnon’s site will also be offering a free holiday grab bag of comics and graphic novels to customers who order for the holidays.
