Okahandja, Republic of Namibia November, 2007 – Christ's Hope International, a Christian organization founded to fight HIV/AIDS will be exhibiting at the Global Summit on AIDS and the Church occurring at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California November 28-30.

“I am very pleased that we will be able to exhibit Christ's Hope at this important conference” said International Director and founder Jos Holtzhausen. “Saddleback's commitment to fighting HIV/AIDS worldwide is well known and this opportunity to show our unique answer to the AIDS problem in Africa fits in nicely with the agenda.”

Christ's Hope International provides focus to the fight against AIDS in Africa through three powerful ministries. The first is Prevention, embodied in Choose to Wait, a sexual purity program teaching youth to make choices based on 7 Biblical truths about sex and marriage found in the first 3 chapters of Genesis. The second is Nurturing Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC's), a ministry geared toward providing food, shelter, safety and education to children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. The third is Care and Compassion, a ministry aimed at assisting those who have the AIDS virus through medical and spiritual comfort.

“Fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa often starts with mobilizing support in developed countries like the U.S.” said Christ's Hope – USA Country Director David Kase. “By getting the opportunity to become better educated at the Global Summit on AIDS and the Church, we can help energize support from churches across the country. We also hope to meet others at the conference who are doing similar work both in Africa and in other places so we can learn from them and potentially pool resources.”

Over the past twelve months, Christ's Hope International has provided the Choose to Wait course to more than 20,000 people in Africa, and provided services to thousands of orphans and AIDS patients.

“I certainly hope that conference attendees take the time to stop by our booth and hear about our approach in Africa” said Holtzhausen. “I truly believe that the Holy Spirit is helping us to make a difference. With the support of churches in North America and Europe, we will be able to reach our goal of providing services to 500,000 AIDS orphans, teach Choose to Wait to more than two million children and teens, and provide compassion assistance to over 100,000 AIDS patients by 2010.”

Christ’s Hope International is working towards an AIDS free world by bringing the hope of Jesus Christ to those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. This includes people in danger of contracting HIV, those suffering from AIDS, their care-givers, and at-risk children whose parents have died due to AIDS. Christ’s Hope International is a non-denominational, African-based ministry with international headquarters in Namibia. Christ’s Hope International was founded in early 2003 and has member nations stretching from Southern Africa to Europe and North America.
