Fairfax, Virginia, November 27, 2007 - CGI Group Inc. (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) announced today that the Center for Digital Government presented CGI with a “Best Fit Integrator” Award at the inaugural State and Local Government Industry Summit.

“This award confirms CGI as a leading provider of ERP solutions to state and local government,” noted Michael Keating, Senior Vice-President, CGI Western U.S. “It illustrates our ability to provide government agencies with innovative technology solutions delivering the best value and functional fit.”

CGI was the recipient of the award for their work on the Electronic Countywide Accounting and Purchasing System (eCAPS) for Los Angeles County, the nation’s largest county. In addition, on May 9, 2007, the County selected AMS Advantage® Human Resources Management for the next phase of its ERP system project, valued at up to US$84 million over six years.

“CGI has a deep public sector industry expertise that was absolutely necessary for developing a comprehensive solution to support the complex business requirements of the County,” said Jon Fullinwider, Chief Information Officer, Los Angeles County. “CGI assigned an outstanding team of experienced professionals who were extremely knowledgeable of government system implementation challenges and were deeply committed to the success of the project at the County. CGI worked in true partnership with the County to develop the solution, resolve issues, mitigate project risks, and ensure a timely delivery of the eCAPS project on schedule and within budget.”

“CGI’s willingness to work with the County to achieve its goals was a true differentiator for the ultimate success of the project,” continued Fullinwider. “The CGI team remained fully committed to getting the job done regardless of any challenges on the project.”

The Center for Digital Government is a national research and advisory institute on information technology policies and best practices in state and local government. The Best Fit Integrator award contenders were evaluated across 12 categories based on nominations gathered from state and local government agencies.
