TemplateMonster Launches Two New Product Types – Joomla! and Mambo Templates
November 30, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology NewsBrooklyn, New York, November 30, 2007 - TemplateMonster.com, the Internet's largest templates provider, now offers new CMS templates designed for Joomla! and Mambo systems – the world’s most popular CMS platforms.
Offering the new CMS templates is a step long anticipated by TemplateMonster’s customers. Even though we have offered PHP-Nuke, PHPbb and WordPress templates and themes, market research demonstrates the market’s evergrowing demand for value in professionally designed CMS templates of many kinds.
"We've been planning the Mambo and Joomla! templates release for a long time and today we have realized that goal. We place very big hopes on these new product lines," says David Braun, CEO of TemplateMonster. "Because these products are very similar, and both have high functionality as well as great popularity, we decided to launch them on the same day. The internet activity of today is trending toward people who neither have nor want programming skills or coding work. Using CMS systems today is desirable and considered by many to be a standard requirement."
Both of these CMS packages contain many different parts, plugins and components that are integrated especially for better functionality and customization of use. An example of these extensions are called "Plugins" and known as "Mambots" in the Mambo CMS. Plugins are the background extensions that add new functions, as desired, to Joomla! and Mambo CMS systems.
In addition to Plugins there are "Components" that allow webmasters to build a community by expanding user features, to backup a website, to translate content and create URLs that are friendlier to search engines. "Modules" is another feature that allows display of layout sections and can be automatically inserted into the base Joomla! code.
Mambo and Joomla! are basically two variations of a similar product that were developed as a result of the project’s managers’ differences of emphases. Mambo 4.5 and Joomla! 1.0 have the same platform except for some design and some security modifications for the Joomla! CMS.
