HUDSON, OH – Dr. Emil Hayek, founder of Western Reserve Heart Care in Hudson, was recently named one of Crain’s Cleveland Business’s “Forty Under 40” young leaders to watch in Northeast Ohio.

“Being named to the Forty Under 40 list is truly an honor.” said Dr. Hayek. “It’s also given me an excellent opportunity to speak about heart disease. I’ve focused my practice on patient education to help people understand what they are doing to their bodies. It’s not unheard of to have a heart attack before 40 and people often ignore the warning signs.”

Dr. Hayek is the Founder of Western Reserve Heart Care. He is the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center at Akron General Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. He completed medical school and residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his Cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Hayek has been in private practice since 2002, specializing in the care of coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiovascular imaging.

Western Reserve Heart Care is located at 1335 Corporate Drive in Hudson, across from JoAnn’s headquarters. For more information visit www.WesternReserveHeartCare.com or call 330-342-0806. Most insurances are accepted.
