MV Transportation Awarded Shuttle Bus Contract by Black Hawk (Colorado) Transportation Authority

December 6, 2007 - The Board of Directors for the Black Hawk Transportation Authority has awarded MV Transportation, Inc. a $650,000 contract to operate the Black Hawk and Central City Tramway Shuttle Bus Services. Under the terms of the one-year, with two, one-year options contract, MV will be responsible for the management and operation of the city’s fixed-route circulator. MV will install Drive-Cam video surveillance equipment on all county-owned vehicles to monitor safety and driver performance, as well as LCD screens to allow dispatchers to monitor on-time performance in real time.

This new contract becomes MV’s sixth in the state of Colorado, including two in Colorado Springs, one in Pueblo, one in Denver and another in Broomfield. The incumbent contractor was Laidlaw Transit services.
