Chapel Hill, NC: Sharon Hill, president of Sharon Hill International, announced that she was the featured keynote speaker for IBM’s Diversity Awareness Week, hosted by the Triangle Diversity Council.

As a retired IBM development and marketing manager, author, and motivator, Hill used her knowledge of diversity in the workplace to deliver a powerful message on what it takes to win in the global marketplace through diversity awareness. Attendees of Hill’s presentation discovered:
• Generational differences between Baby Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y.
• How the generations can work together even though they see the world differently.
• How to appreciate the global work force and work as one team.

Hill stated, “Reminding other professionals how unique everyone is and how those differences bring new insight to the success of a business is extremely important to me. Diversity in the workplace is crucial for businesses to grow in an increasingly global market.”

As a company, IBM is committed to a multicultural environment which includes everyone and excludes no one. Diversity Awareness Week provides an opportunity to learn about other cultures and appreciate the strengths derived from our differences. This week included diversity training, cultural awareness, entertainment, roundtables and Sharon Hill as the keynote speaker.
