ATLANTA | July 15, 2003 | Hawks Ridge (www.hawksridge.com), the already legendary private golf club community located just north of Atlanta announced today that it hired the highly acclaimed European chef and sommelier Peter Alexander. Chef Alexander is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and trained at several European 5-star hotels, restaurants, and country clubs in Great Britain, Austria, and Switzerland.

"It isn't often that you can find an executive chef who's so experienced, and an accredited sommelier," says Peggy Smith, general manager of Hawks Ridge. "Our goal at Hawks Ridge is to create great memories for our members and their guests. By adding a classically trained chef with an extraordinary knowledge of wines, diners at Hawks Ridge can experience meals that are on par with the excellence of their golf experience."

Over time, chef Alexander plans to implement his own menu that's likely to reflect the Austrian influences of his cooking. Presently he prepares menus upon request and for special events. "My training at the Ritz Carlton has me thinking that if I have something in house, I will make it," says Peter Alexander, executive chef at Hawks Ridge. "I will always do my best to put together what's requested, along with an excellent wine selection."
