BEAUFORT, N.C. (January 18, 2008) Joe Kreuser golf professional at the North River Club hit his second hole-in-one at the North River Club Golf Course - the newest golf course on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast. Both “Aces” happened on hole number 13 a 184 yard par 3 over a lake.

“I’m amazed this has happened. The first hole-in-one occurred on a day when it was blowing 15 knots and the second day was calm as can be. I used a 6 iron on the windy day and a 8 iron on the calm day.” Joe also holds the current course record from the blue tees – a 67 which surprisingly occurred on rounds that didn’t have a hole-in-one. Joe’s shots and current course record have made him a minor celebrity in the small coastal town. Joe comments, “I moved to Beaufort from Minnesota this summer and since these shots, the number of people inviting me to be in their foursome for tournaments has skyrocketed.” He further states “I don’t attribute the hole-in-one to any particular skill – just lucky I guess. However maybe my game has improved some because we now live in a place where I can play golf all year long and don’t have to shovel snow.”

The golf course is located in Beaufort, North Carolina. Long known for its boating, fantastic ocean fishing and mild weather, Beaufort, North Carolina was recently voted the #3 favorite small southern town by Southern Living’s readers in their 2007 Reader’s Choice Awards.
