Versora To Exhibit At LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco

Santa Barbara, CA – Versora will be exhibiting at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo August 9 through 11, 2005 at Moscone Center West in San Francisco in the Novell Partner Pavilion (Booth #624/P24). At the event, Versora will announce new product features and functionality for their Windows to Linux Desktop migration product Progression Desktop.

Jon Walker, Versora CTO, has been invited to speak at the LinuxWorld Conference on Wednesday, August 10th. Mr. Walker’s presentation, titled Windows to Linux Desktop Migration – A Technical Overview, will focus on the business and technical considerations of a Windows to Linux desktop migration. Included in the presentation will be best practice migration processes, how to deal with proprietary applications and reducing the complexity with automated migration tools. The presentation will begin at 1pm.

At 5:15pm on Wednesday, August 10th, Versora Chief Software Architect Nick Lassonde will be hosting a Birds of a Feather roundtable discussion as a follow-up to Mr. Walker’s Windows to Linux desktop migration presentation. The discussion will focus on Linux desktop's readiness for the enterprise, planning for an organization's Windows to Linux desktop migration, and tools to ease the migration process.
