An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory, but according to the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, more and more teenagers and young adults are becoming overweight.

This is generally caused by a lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns or a combination of the two (with genetics and lifestyle both playing important roles).

Our society has become very sedentary… television, computers and video games all contribute to inactive lifestyles.

Did you know that 43% of adolescents watch more than 2 hours of television each day? And when they get online, do you know how many hours they sit in front of their computers?

That's why we believe the Internet represents an important medium to get the word out and educate in a nice, effective way.

Because we believe it's nice to be important. But it's more important to be nice.

Nearly half of American youths aged 12-23 years are not vigorously active on a regular basis.

Inactivity is more common among females (14%) than males (7%) and among black females (21%) than white females (12%).

Did you know that only 19% of all high school students are physically active for 20 minutes or more, five days a week?

Plus teenagers are eating more and more "junk food" and not getting enough of the nutrients their body needs. Why? Because fast food combines two of our favorite desires: things in a hurry and food. Plus it tastes good too.

So let's get to work on it. However, delegating work works, provided the one delegating works, too. We believe not telling tennagers how to do things. We believe in telling them what to do and they will surprise us with their ingenuity.

One more thing, always remember to smile… because if your eyes are the windows to your soul, your smile is the font door.
