Emitations.com CEO Receives Women's Jewelry Association Honor

March 20, 2008 - SAN DIEGO—- Au-Co Mai, Founder and CEO of the sterling silver jewelry website Emitations.com, was elected National Vice President of Technology for the Women's Jewelry Association on March 7, 2008. Along with this prestigious post, Mai was honored with the Shining Star Award for launching a local chapter website and implementing online programs and event management. This was the third year the WJA has given away the award since its inception in 2005: “It’s an honor to be a part of an organization that is committed to improving the jewelry industry by empowering women entrepreneurs,” Mai commented.

"The extraordinary women are all accomplished in their own careers and have demonstrated astounding service and commitment to their WJA chapters," WJA President Yancy Weinrich said in a media release.

The honor was bestowed on the recipients at the Women in the Know Conference in New York City at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The event was attended by over two-hundred jewelry professionals.

The Women's Jewelry Association contains eleven chapters throughout the United States.
