Yellow Fin Performance Engines scores big wins in 2005
July 29, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Sports NewsSpringboro, Ohio — Yellow Fin Performance Engine, an industry stand out in the engine tuning field would like to congratulate itís newest drivers for their outstanding efforts over the last few months.
It all started at the Stars Of Karting East event in Jacksonville where Johnny Johnson and Chris Keller dominated the qualifying and prefinals for both the Saturday and Sunday events with Johnny taking the victory in the postponed Saturday final Sunday morning, both Chris and Johnny recovered from adversity during the Sunday final with Chris posting a 4th place finish and Johnny finishing 6th.
Following the Stars East race in Jacksonville the action moved to the updated facilities at the South Bend Raceway Park for the 3rd round of the George Kugler`s Manufacturers Cup, at this race Yellow Fin Performance Engines added ICC to their resume with double victories going to Josh Schreiber, this was an amazing drive for Josh as he took on the competition at their home track. Johnny Johnson kept his ICA streak going at South Bend with a dominant win, not only taking the pole position in qualifying, but driving to victory in the pre final and the final as well.
With only 3 days to get ready it was off to Shawano Wisconsin for round 4 of the Stars Of Karting East event where as always the competition was fierce and the action was fast paced. Johnny Johnson was at the top of his game as always with a outside pole in qualifying on Saturday followed by a very close second place finish in the prefinal, however the rains hit before the final could be run and Johnny and his crew missed the setup slightly and could only muster an 8th place finish. Sunday was a new day however and with a second place qualifying run Johnny was poised to strike and in the final it was only a matter of time before Johnny passed for the lead and cruised to the victory.
As a side note Yellow Fin Performance Engines would like to send a special thank you to Jim and John Giacomelli and Justin Stefani from J3 Competition, without their support none of this would have been possible.
