Heavybag Announces Employee Moves

New Haven, CT – (Aug 1, 2005) – The growth of interactive marketing company, Heavybag Media continues as the company today announced new staffing changes.

Emily Henderson has been promoted to the position of Art Director, while Kelli Buckley and Rika Cirillo have joined the company as Senior Account Executive and Graphics Designer, respectively.

Henderson advanced from Lead Graphics Designer to Art Director where she will work directly with Peters to maintain the vision and design integrity of each project from inception to completion. Currently she has project management responsibility for certain company accounts. Henderson’s superior illustration and natural design skills were perfected through her education and work experience. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design from the Honors College at the University of South Carolina.

“Emily is a wonderful, talented person. She is a valuable asset to Heavybag Media. We are very confident that she is going to excel with her new and expanded responsibilities,” Peters said.

Kelli Buckley joins Heavybag Media as Senior Account Executive in charge of new business development. She comes to Heavybag from Pharmedica Communications, where she formulated domestic and international marketing strategies to educate healthcare professionals. Her previous sales and marketing positions provide value in the further establishment of Heavybag’s interactive marketing clients in different industries. Currently the company performs marketing projects for pharmaceutical industry leader Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Rika Cirillo, a freelance graphics specialist who consulted for Heavybag over the past year, joins the company full-time as Graphic Designer. She will be responsible for creating animated and flash-based multimedia projects. She began her professional career in Japan, where she spent three years at promotional design companies before relocating to the U.S. to pursue additional design opportunities. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Studio Art from Southern Connecticut State University and an Associate of Science degree and Certificate in Electronic Publishing from Gateway Community Technical College in New Haven. At Heavybag, Cirillo will focus her efforts on the design platforms for Heavybag’s NWF Watches, and Yale University accounts, among others.
