ApartmenTime.com, is working to become the apartment shopping location for all.
Los Angeles, CA 7/292005 - With more America’s purchasing computers than televisions sets these days, it’s easy to understand why residential communities are finding their traffic online..
Today 75% of those searching for Apartments do so online and until now the Apartment Listing Service industry has been dominated by companies like Apartments.com, owned in part by the Tribune Company, Rent.com, part of EBay’s empire and Rentnet.com a division of Homestore.com
Recently, International Advertising Media Group was formed by Darren Rogers of Los Angeles and its first order of business was to launch Apartmentime.com.
What makes this entry into the online ILS business different from others is Apartmentime.com is the only national online apartment listing service that in addition to offering the four core channels, it also offer a channel devoted strictly to Low-Income, Tax Credit, Section 8 and HUD properties.

Recently Nielsen//NetRatings reported an overall jump in visitors from all income brackets to real estate and apartment sites. Lower-income households earning up to $25K showed the most significant growth with a million potential home buyers and renters viewing a real estate or apartment site last month, marking a 47 percent leap during the past six months.
“Growing up in New York’s South Bronx, and living in Section 8 communities, I know first hand what one has to go through to find affordable housing. Our HUD Housing channel will help those in need through those hurdles”, says Rogers. “Apartmentime.com will become the only service where anyone searching for a new residential community can come and find a place to live. Whether its luxury apartments, single family homes, Military Housing, Senior Housing, College Housing Corporate Housing or HUD funded communities, they’ll all be listed on Apartmentime.com”.
ApartmenTime.com is comprised of four core channels, Apartments for Rent, College Housing, Corporate Housing and Senior Housing. All of which advertise market value properties. It also offers two specialty channels, Military Housing and HUD.
Rogers’ wants to post every HUD funded property in country in its HUD channel. He says “navigating HUD’s website is difficult for most that use the internet on a daily basis, image what it’s like for someone with limited access to a computer. If all HUD funded communities are listed on ApartmenTime.com, those who need the information the most will be able to find it on an easy to navigate website”
Rogers continues to say, “Once we’ve completed the optimization process we will begin working on translating our listings for our visitors in Spanish and Chinese.
