Aspenbloom Pet Care Blogs for Charity in Blogathon 2005

July 31, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Aspenbloom Pet Care, a business that specializes in educating pet owners on natural alternative prevention care for pets will be participating in a 24 hour Blogathon event for charity starting on August 6, 2005 at 9AM EST.

The first Blogathon was born July 29, 2000 when Cat Connor of Frytopia decided to post an entry in her blog every fifteen minutes for twenty-four hours. By the end of this 24 hour event Connor had posted a total of 96 entries. The next year when Connor decided do it all over again for another 24 hour period she decided that this event would be more than just her blogging for attention but to make a difference in the world.

Kim Bloomer, owner of Aspenbloom Pet Care, first learned of this annual event by her web host Dena of http://www.creation-nation.com "Dena sent out an announcement to a women's online network I belong to and it just felt like it was something I needed to do to help", stated Bloomer. Bloomer and her dog Shadrach, who does all the blogging for her on her blogs, will be blogging for the International Fund for Animal Welfare at http://www.Bark-N-Blog.com .

"We need people to come and pledge to donate whatever amount they can. I don't handle the donations; Blogathon does all the work getting those who pledge donations to the actual charities they've pledged for. This way all the charities get the full amount," commented Bloomer, "I'm excited to be helping but need supporters to stop by and help me stay awake by commenting and pledging!"

Part of Aspenbloom Pet Care's mission is to help stop abuse and exploitation of animals so by participating in Blogathon 2005 that is just one more way to realize that mission into reality.

To pledge for the International Fund for Animal Welfare during Blogathon 2005 go to http://www.blogathon.org and click on "How to Sponsor" and follow the explicit instructions there.
