April 10, 2008 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
TAMPA, FLA., USA – April 10, 2008 – Ademero Inc. today announced the release of Content Central™ version 4.5. This new version of the browser-based document management software application adds several new features based on user feedback. Ademero has updated both the Enterprise Edition and Workgroup Edition.

Drag-and-Drop Uploading Simplifies the Capture Process

Users can now drag and drop one or more folders or files directly into the web browser running Content Central™. Two drag-and-drop applets exist within the application. The first will instantly upload any files dropped into the browser; the other allows the user to review and confirm the files to be uploaded. The interface will accept any type of file. "We've successfully brought the elementary drag-and-drop function to the Content Central™ browser interface. This exciting new capture feature, along with our existing QCard™ and DirectScan™ capture technologies, moves Content Central™ to the forefront of available document-management and content-management applications." says Manuel Montesino, marketing director for Ademero.

New Dashboard Provides Overview of Work & Activities

Content Central™ now displays the new dashboard to all users upon logging in. The dashboard provides a convenient overview of recently received messages, checked-out documents, documents waiting for approval, and captured documents requiring coding. The dashboard makes use of existing themes designed for the presentation layer.

Active Directory Integration Streamlines Access Control

Administrators can now connect the Content Central™ server to an available Microsoft® Windows® Active Directory implementation. The integration lets Content Central™ make use of existing user accounts assigned in Active Directory and allows administrators to manage usernames and passwords from one central database. Users benefit from this feature by only needing their Windows username and password to access Content Central™.

New Image Review Tools for DirectScan™

The DirectScan™ scan-to-browser applet now contains several image reviewing tools for quality assurance processing. The zoom feature allows users to increase or decrease the preview size of the scanned images. The rotate function helps when scanning pages of different orientation together. The delete tool allows selective page removal within a captured batch. The move feature allows pages within a batch to be arranged in a different order.

About Content Central™ Version 4

As a fully browser-based document management software system, Content Central™ extends the boundaries of the traditional office. The server-based software package works well as an intranet, extranet, or stand-alone application. Client workstations only need a standard web browser to access the Content Central™ server. This not only provides quick deployment, but also allows secure, remote access to the application. Tools for capturing, managing, and searching documents and other content exist entirely within the browser-based interface. Ademero provides Content Central™ for both the enterprise and small business.
