Dr. Broc Pratt offers body contouring surgery for weight loss patients in Charlotte

Dr. Broc Lane Joins Metrolina Plastic Surgery in Charlotte, NC to offer body contouring surgery for individuals who have undergone massive weight loss.

Dr. Broc Pratt is a firm believer that the integration of art and medicine is the best approach to achieving optimal results and patient satisfaction. He utilizes his extensive training, experience and discriminating eye for detail in the pursuit of body symmetry and a more youthful appearance. At Metrolina Plastic Surgery Dr. Pratt will offer comprehensive cosmetic surgery of both the face and body. Areas of specific interest include body contouring following weight loss, cosmetic vaginal rejuvenation, structural fat grafting, and breast/body enhancement following childbirth. Non-surgical procedures, such as Botox®, Juvederm™, and other injectable fillers are also an integral part of his practice.

Upon completion of his plastic surgery fellowship, he returned to Charlotte as a faculty member and Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center. The position afforded the unique opportunity to be involved in a variety of complex reconstructive procedures as well as catering to the needs of the elective cosmetic surgery patient. The experience resulted in Dr. Pratt's emerging passion for aesthetic surgery and the desire to use his talents to help patients in achieving physical improvements and at the same time, enhancing their self esteem.

Dr. Pratt is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and a candidate for membership into the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has hospital privileges at Carolinas Medical Center, CMC-Pineville, and CMC-Mercy, although most surgeries are performed at the on site AAAA certified private surgical suite. He is licensed in North Carolina and has volunteered his surgical services in Ghana, West Africa at the Baptist Medical Center where he served the rural and impoverished villages of the Gold Coast. He has co-authored a chapter in the textbook, "Minimally Invasive Cancer Management," and has published over 13 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals such as; Annals of Plastic Surgery, Surgical Clinics of North America, Seminars in Laparoscopic Surgery, The American Surgeon, Surgical Endoscopy, The Journal of Surgical Research, and the prestigious Journal of the American College of Surgeons. His academic work has been presented in Singapore, Germany and at major surgical forums throughout the United States. His contributions have led to several distinguished awards, such as the Ambrose Paré Award for outstanding student of surgery, the Carolinas Laparoscopic and Advanced Surgery Award for outstanding contributions to minimally invasive surgical research, the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons Clinical Research Award, and the Southern Medical Association Research Award.
