Plymouth Tube Company Selects Integrasys Technologies and IBM Lotus Domino

August 05, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Plymouth Tube Company, in cooperation with Integrasys Technologies, Inc., has successfully migrated to a state-of-the-art enterprise messaging system based on IBM Lotus Domino, positioning the company for future expansion.

"Our collaboration with Integrasys Technologies has given us a solid technology infrastructure that provides an important competitive advantage in our business sector," said Lance Foust, information systems director for Plymouth Tube Company.

Prior to the migration, Integrasys consultants identified several critical business needs at Plymouth Tube. The company needed a robust collaborative infrastructure for shared access and workflow processing including customer relationship management, group calendaring and just-in-time inventory communication with suppliers.

After a ten-month selection process conducted together with Integrasys, Plymouth Tube's 30-member cross-functional recommendation committee unanimously selected the IBM Lotus Domino platform. Plymouth Tube selected Lotus Domino despite being a major user of Microsoft products.

"Relying on decentralized systems to retrieve and distribute information was becoming increasingly problematic and inefficient," said Foust. "We needed a world-class collaboration system to help streamline our processes. That's exactly what we got with Domino."

"IBM Lotus Domino is the most robust, scalable and secure enterprise messaging and collaboration platform available," said Shoby John, president for Integrasys Technologies. "People on the Plymouth Tube staff need the simple, real-time access that Domino provides. We're confident that Plymouth Tube will realize significant competitive advantage from its Lotus implementation."

"We selected the Domino solution because we needed more than e-mail and calendaring. The security, reliability and scalability of IBM Lotus are first-class," said Foust. "Integrasys did an exceptional job of showing us how the IBM Lotus Domino solution would address each of our business needs, all from one standard, simplified infrastructure."
