Mobilizing Field Service Workers Doesn't Always Mean Mobilizing Support

Current users of DataSplice now have an extra option when it comes to support for their CMMS handheld implementation. In addition to the standard toll-free number, email and technical forums, DataSplice has begun using Live Meeting as a means to demonstrate and troubleshoot client problems with the benefits of being “there” without the drawbacks of travel

Email and technical forums are continuously monitored by DataSplice technical support staff and developers to ensure that installation and configuration issues are quickly resolved. But, sometimes you need a hands-on approach.

Even if you’re 2000 miles away.

DataSplice helps users of Maximo® software by MRO and other CMMS systems that want to take their systems mobile. While the setup is by far easier than any other handheld CMMS module on the market, its flexibility brings up many options that users may miss, and that’s where the demos come in for users of field service maintenance software.

The switch to Live Meeting from a previous product has been a great success, according to Kat Pullen, Marketing Associate for the Rocky Mountain based firm. “The wonderful thing about this software is that we can show…in real time…what the product can do.”, says Pullen. “And if a new person takes over the handling of a project, we can work with them online (using the desktop application share function) to see their settings, and quickly notice and correct many problems they may have”. She also notes that the time saved by not having to physically visit the facility has saved corporations thousands of dollars in downtime, not to mention consulting fees.

More sales and training options are being looked into, which will nicely dovetail into their other support options, including archived educational videos, and an onsite certification training program for users and consultant that want to take their enterprise systems and CMMS mobile.
